The new Eurocodes Starter Pack of Scia Engineer is offered to cover the needs of civil engineers who want to model, analyse and design typical frame, truss and similar structures made of steel and concrete according to the Eurocodes.
Why ECtools?
-
In countries with high seismic risk or even in parts of some countries, the use of EC8 is obligatory.
-
ECtools may be used as an addition to Scia Engineer, since the design of concrete buildings according to Eurocode 8 is not available within Scia Engineer.
-
ECtools contains checks according to EC6. This fills the gap of the missing masonry checks in Scia Engineer.

The interface between Scia Engineer and ECtools is very simple & user-friendly
-
ECtools has an excellent performance speed. In a few seconds, the output report with detailed calculation results is available.
-
An extensive list of National Annexes is already available and more National Annexes can be added on demand

-
It has been extensively tested within the design office and many Universities and its predecessor, eTools, has been in use since 2002 in Greece and Cyprus.
-
Penelis Consulting Engineers was founded by Professor Penelis, who is considered to be a pioneer in R/C and seismic design, and has been national representative at the Drafting Committee of Eurocode 2 (R/C Structures), since 1988
